Terms of Service

By accessing and using VirtualBoard ('the Service'), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

VirtualBoard provides a web-based platform for managing feature specifications stored in GitHub repositories. The Service includes but is not limited to workspace management, markdown editing, team collaboration features, and GitHub integration capabilities.

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. When you register, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

The Service requires integration with GitHub. By connecting your GitHub account, you authorize us to:

• Access repositories you explicitly authorize
• Read and write files within authorized .virtualboard/ folders
• Create commits on your behalf when editing feature specifications
• Receive webhook notifications for repository changes

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on intellectual property rights
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use the Service for any automated or bulk operations without permission

Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to:

• Pay all fees associated with your chosen plan
• Provide accurate billing information
• Authorize automatic recurring charges
• Accept that fees are non-refundable except as required by law

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to active subscribers.

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by VirtualBoard and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. Your content remains yours, but you grant us a license to use, store, and display it as necessary to provide the Service.

We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to such processing and warrant that all data you provide is accurate. We implement appropriate security measures to protect your data.

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from service interruptions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VirtualBoard shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use or inability to use the Service.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VirtualBoard and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. All provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which VirtualBoard operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
